FINISHES

Bronze Alloy

Rocky Mountain Hardware's hand-applied bronze alloy finishes are a testament to commitment, quality and attention to detail. They use only the finest art-grade bronze in the creation of their hardware, which is cast using Old-World techniques by our highly skilled artisans. Each piece touches no less than 30 hands, undergoing a rigorous 20-plus-step process, starting as ingot of bronze and ending with a hand applied finish, assembly and testing.

Rocky Mountain Hardwares offers two bronze alloys – white bronze and silicon bronze. Silicon bronze is known for its rich coppery coloration, while white bronze is prized for its burnished silvery hue. Both options are finished with a warm and lustrous patina that is applied by hand to create one of twelve different hues, and an aged appearance that is both elegant and timeless. All Rocky Mountain Hardware products are available in any finish.

Door Design Workshop offers the white bronze brushed online only. Please call for custom orders or additional bronze options.

FINISHES

White Bronze Alloy

White bronze is another popular base metal that Rocky uses in the creation of their hardware pieces. This alloy is prized for its silvery hue, which is achieved through the addition of nickel and other elements. The white bronze ages beautifully and adds character and depth to any space when coated in our living finishes.

CARE & CLEANING

How to Care for Bronze Alloy Hardware

The look of the bronze will change with time. Cleaning all surfaces with a mild soap, water, and a non-abrasive cloth will help the hardware age gracefully.

Water conditions vary across the country. Chemicals and minerals in the water and air can combine to have an adverse effect on the finish of plumbing fixtures. We recommend that you rinse away any traces of soap and gently dry with a clean, soft cloth after each use.

For any of the light, brushed or high polished finishes (white light, white brushed, white high polish, bronze light, bronze brushed and bronze high polish) you may use deoxidizing cleaner (such as Wrights Copper Cream) to bring the bronze back to its base metal finish. Then apply a high-quality clear paste wax (such as Trewax) to protect the surface. This process can be repeated as necessary.

From the manufacturer:

Do not allow materials such as toothpaste, nail polish remover, or caustic drain cleaners to remain on the surface.
